Night of Superstars
A “Superstar” is one who is idolized by fans & elevated to a position of importance and also one who has great popular appeal. The “Superstars” of this wonderful charitable night were just that; adored & revered! The grand event took place in Dallas on May 19, 2012. Modeled after “Night at the Oscars”, Night of Superstars honors kids who are affected by varying types of disabling conditions and who have not only overcome great adversity but have also excelled in areas such as academics, athletics, extracurricular activities, music, and/or community service! Each Superstar was nominated by either a teacher, counselor or coach and is sponsored usually by a high profile celebrity of the city of Dallas. Each Superstar gets to be a celebrity for a day as they are pampered, and primed for their night on the red carpet! Their day is filled with spa-treatments, shopping sprees & limo rides! As they arrive to the event that evening, they are greeted by hundreds of guests cheering them on, asking for autographs, and pictures and are then escorted by a celebrity down the red carpet. Celebrities there that night included, Heather Hays of Fox 4 News, Scott Murray of Murray Media, and Sir Earl Toon of Kool & the Gang. Our own celebrities of CLAYSTAPP+CO, Clay & Lisa Stapp were overjoyed to be able to sponsor a special little girl named Tabetha. Tabetha was born with a disability in her right hand but has never let that get in her way! She is an incredibly inquisitive child who believes that “God made her this way.” She participates in numerous activities such as dance, swimming, karate, acting and soccer. What a repertoire! Tabetha is a sweet and kind-hearted little girl who blesses the lives of all those who come in contact with her and Clay & Lisa Stapp were no exception!
“We are blessed so we can bless others!” -Lisa Stapp
