Dallas-Movin’ On Up
Need a little Real Estate pick-me-up? Well here you go…
“The Big D” is moving up in the Real Estate World! Or so a new closely watched housing survey says…It stated that Dallas-area home prices are up for the 1st time in more than 20 months! The Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller Home Price Index indicated that prices in Dallas rose 1.5% in March from a year ago. This was to be expected since sales in the 1st five months of this year were so strong. David Brown of Metrostudy Inc projects that “the index should continue to reflect increasing prices in the coming months.” Dallas was 1 of only 7 U.S. cities to see an increase in price gains. Monthly increases coupled with improving annual rates of change is what we need to see this continue and we here at CLAYSTAPP+CO believe that will continue to happen!
